Overview:

Ask.com is one of the largest sites on the web when it comes to monthly searches, and attracts more than 100 million unique users globally. Ask.com's mission is to increase personal knowledge by empowering people with answers. Ask.com approached Entegrate! to develop a custom program that would drive traffic and increase brand awareness of their search engine.

Strategy:

Ask.com was looking for a comedic opportunity to promote their brand. By leveraging our partnership with Jamie Kennedy Productions, Entegrate! developed a unique campaign around the Ask.com brand. Entegrate! re-created Jamie Kennedy's popular hidden camera show and repurposed it for the web.

Creative and Execution:

Entegrate! produced a 7 minute video episode of the HAHA,JK! Hidden Camera Web show starring Jamie Kennedy, Dave Sheridan (Scary Movie), and Jessica Sutta (Pussycat Dolls). The video episode features Jamie Kennedy looking for a new personal assistant and comedy ensues.

Entegrate! also created three :30 second Ask.com pre-rolls ads that aired before the Hidden Camera Web show which also features Jamie Kennedy. The tagline stated "Don't Ask Jamie, Get Real Answers At Ask.com".

Entegrate incorporated a Q&A functionality to the ad. Ask.com provided questions regarding the webisode and the questions were rotated throughout the ad unit while the user viewed the content. The users were able to click through to Ask.com which displayed the answers.

Results:

Entegrate! delivered 2.5 million video views across the ENGAGE:BDR advertising network featuring the Ask.com Q&A service. Platinum Rye, the agency of record, was very happy with the outcome of the campaign. Because of the success of the program, Entegrate! and ENGAGE:BDR has become an essential platform for the agency and will continue to be moving forward.
