Sales Director

engage:BDR is seeking a Sales Director (more experience) for growing new business with enterprise and agency client accounts selling high engagement opportunities through content marketing, lead demand generation and high volume custom advertising. This individual must have experience with enterprise level contacts and accounts, ad agencies, possess strong organizational skills & passion, exceptional written and oral communication & presentation skills, be detail oriented, aggressive in exceeding sales goals, and have a strong desire to succeed.

The Sales Director will be responsible for agency sales and implementation of the business development plan, which includes: prospecting, lead generation/qualification, presentation development and follow-up. The ideal candidate will be a tech-savvy business development leader with experience and relationships across multiple categories ranging from tech start-ups to retail/CPG and Fortune 1000 companies. Ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success and possess strong analytical capabilities.
What you will do:

  • Develop and adhere to a Sales Plan around the acquisition of new Brand Advertiser and Agency clients, including:
    • Prospecting for new business,
    • Profiling strategies (Precision targeting at an industry, vertical and product levels),
    • Campaign and offer engineering,
    • Pipeline prioritization.
  • Drive large media partnerships and deep brand integration in display and video advertising.
  • Apply successful sales strategies that embrace a 2 – 4 month sales cycle, the patience for a 1 year sales cycle, and the responsiveness of a 15 day sales cycle.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and monthly revenue goals.
  • Sell to multiple levels of an organization, with strong emphasis on executive level relationships.
  • Actively consult with Brand Advertiser and Agency partners on business solutions that exceed revenue objectives through the recommendation and implementation of unique, successful marketing programs.
  • Prepare, manage and present sales reports that track, analyze, and forecast revenue opportunities.
  • Prepare, review and present proposals, reports and ROI calculations with Brand Advertiser and Agency partners.
  • Track and record client data, relevant business metrics, pipeline opportunities, ongoing communication and service changes in Salesforce CRM system.

    • Grow, retain and satisfy existing Brand Advertiser and Agency partner base,
    • Analyze and resolve diverse, complex and technical issues and client conflicts via an in-depth knowledge of company’s products, services, industry and technical interfaces,
    • Facilitate a positive on-boarding experience for new clients,
    • Optimize campaigns for greater results and longevity.
  • Support finance and compliance policies, such as payment terms, collections, invoicing and contracts.
  • Keep abreast of products, industry pricing, competitive trends in display, mobile, video and digital sales industries.
  • Attend and participate in team meetings, training seminars and workshops.  Constantly acquire better solution selling skills.
  • Travel to clients, prospects, industry conferences and events 1 – 2 times per month.  (While we strongly support the need for work-life balance.)

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of quota carrying sales experience achieving/exceeding goal.
  • 3-5 years’ experience selling digital display media to direct brand advertisers, large agencies, ad networks and affiliates.
  • Proven track record meeting or exceeding north of $500k/quarter in gross revenues.
  • Experience managing campaigns on CPM, CPA, CPC and CPL models.  Knowledge of all forms of on-line lead generation programs, including:  PPC, e-mail, display, CPA and other on-line media opportunities
  • Must be a “hunter.”  While we will be providing leads, heavy concentration will be on prospecting and generating independent leads.
  • Experience with online display, mobile and video.

engage:BDR is looking for a high-energy Director of Publisher Development that will be responsible for sourcing, managing and growing key strategic partnerships with direct publishers. The ideal candidate will be an experienced relationship manager who can bring their business and partner development skills to manage complex, revenue-focused publisher relationships. In this role, you will work within our newly created demand team while helping new publishers and existing publishers fully leverage their inventory.
